Acceptable Sacrifice

May 7, 2019

What is your spiritual sacrifice?

 Questions for Prayer:

  • Romans 12:1-2 says that our bodies are to be presented to God as "a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." This means every part of our body is to be consecrated and holy to God. Job says in Job 31:1 that he made a covenant with God concerning his eyes, that he would not look lustfully at women who were not his wife. We all have different things we are tempted with. What part of your body do you still struggle with turning over to God?

  • As living sacrifices not only must we refrain from sin, but every moment is one we can use to glorify God and to do good works. Once you become a Christian, your body is not your own anymore. "You are not your own; you  were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." Are you using your body to actively honor God and do good works for Him?
